Excel Importer

Overview. This importer plug-in adds support for importing translations from Excel files. The plug-in requires that Excel (Office) 2000 or 2003 is installed.

Characteristics

The Excel Importer supports the following:

Importing of translations from the user-defined sheet
Specifying columns that contain native and translated texts.
Importing of comments.

Configuration in Multilizer

In Multilizer the user simply needs to specify the following information:

Filename of the Excel file to import.
Sheet name (Multilizer automatically displays the sheets of selected file).
The column for native and translated text
Start row
Optionally row and translation comments.

Usage in Multilizer

Excel Importer is normally used in Assisted Translation Expert where it works as translation reference.

The translations can also be imported in batch with Import Wizard.
