TMX exporter

Overview. The TMX Exporter plug-in is used to export translation from Multilizer to a TMX (Translation Memory eXchange) file.

TMX is an open XML standard used for the exchange of translation memory data between translation suppliers and localization tools.

Availability

This plug-in is available in Multilizer Enterprise. To get an evaluation version for other Multilizer versions, contact sales(at)multilizer.com.

Characteristics

The TMX Exporter supports the following:

  • Optionally export context information (ID of the strings).
  • Optionally export to a Trados compatible format.
  • Optionally specify whether to store translations between any languages in the TMX-file. For that, the the srclang="*all*" attribute is used. This complies fully with the TMX-standard; however, this option can be overridden when translations are exported from a Multilizer project into a TMX-file using the TMX Exporter plug-in.
